Dr. Md. Nasir Uddin

Dr. Md. Nasir Uddin is a urologist and urological surgeon in Dhaka and Assistant Professor of Urology at the National Institute of Kidney Diseases & Urology (NIKDU), one of the country's main referral centres for kidney and urological disease. He holds the FCPS in Urology from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons and is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons in Urology Surgery.

He treats conditions of the kidney, bladder, urethra, prostate, penis and testicles — from kidney and ureteric stones, prostate enlargement and urinary infection to urethral stricture reconstruction, urological cancers and men's health. Where suitable, he favours endoscopic and minimally invasive treatment that avoids a large cut and shortens recovery.

Alongside his work at NIKDU he sees patients at Labaid Specialized Hospital in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, and at Popular Diagnostic Centre in Kushtia, and shares patient-education videos in Bangla so that families can understand urological problems and seek treatment early.
